Meet our Pastor!
I was born again in December 1995 after listening to a sermon on Hell. I grew up in a Baptist church since I was two years old. I went to Sunday School, Junior church, evening service, and AWANA on Wednesday nights. And yet, despite years of being in church, I was not saved until I was 19 years old. If you would like to read my testimony in more detail, click here. I was called to preach in September 1998 while deployed to Singapore. A friend of mine and I toured a Buddhist temple. Upon seeing the idolatry and seeing that they worship mostly out of fear, a great burden was placed on my heart for them. When I returned back home, I talked to my pastor about it. He told me to pray everyday until God showed me what He wanted me to do. The result: God called me to preach the gospel to the lost.
When the Lord finally opened the door for me to get out of the Air Force in 2005, I came to Great Falls, MT to go to Bible college at Mountain States Baptist College. In March 2007, I was asked to preach for Ruby Valley Baptist Church in Sheridan, MT, who was looking for a pastor. I preached for them several times over the next couple of months. In that time, they asked me to candidate for their pastor. On May 6th, they voted to call me as their pastor. God had made it absolutely clear to me and my family that this was His will. In May 2008, I graduated from Mountain States Baptist College with an Associates Degree in Bible & Pastoral Studies. I am continuing to work towards my bachelors degree through Bethany Baptist College & Seminary.
